The essence of the Divine Light we are and its many aspects is what Unity co-founder, Charles Fillmore, called our 12 Powers. I have added one more to make 13.
These 13 Powers are qualities or attributes, of our Christ (Divine) nature. They are:
- Faith
- Understanding
- Wisdom (Judgment)
- Love
- Will
- Strength
- Power
- Order
- Imagination
- Zeal
- Renunciation (Elimination)
- Life
- Joy
Many of you expressed to me that you’d like support in keeping that focus strong and ongoing. So here is a series of affirmations for each power: Declare and embody them every day. As you do this, you will awaken your awareness of their inherent presence in you and expand your capacity to claim them as your true nature.
Each morning in stillness and reflection, affirm these powers and feel them awaken in your being. May this practice deepen your knowing of the magnificence you are!

Affirmations
Faith: I awaken my power of Faith. I know what I Am. I have a deep inner knowing that all is well and claim this truth regardless of any appearance of lack or limitation around me.
Understanding: As I awaken my power of Understanding, I know that the perfect outworking of every situation is being revealed to me now. I listen, I discern, I understand.
Wisdom: I awaken my power of Wisdom and am able to see beyond appearances to what is really true. I discern and know what is mine to do. I make wise decisions.
Love: I awaken my power of Love. I am a radiating center of Divine Love and express that Love to everyone, including myself. The Love that I Am generates harmony and healing in all my relationships.
Will: As I awaken my power of Will, I surrender any resistance and say “Yes” to what is mine to do. From the foundation of my willingness, my greatest good unfolds.
Strength: As I awaken my power of Strength, I have courage, confidence and endurance. I am strong and unafraid. I am steadfast.
Power: I awaken my power of Power. I take dominion over my thoughts and feelings as I claim the truth of my divine nature. My words, thoughts and actions reflect this awareness and call forth love and peace in the world.
Order: As I awaken my power of Order, I consciously participate in my spiritual growth and release any resistance or struggle. Harmony, balance and ease are now established in my life.
Imagination: As I awaken my power of Imagination, I see innovative, creative ways to act and express. I hold a vision of what can be. Unlimited good flows into my life now.
Zeal: I awaken my power of Zeal and feel enthusiasm for life and its unlimited possibilities. I Am motivated to move forward with what I prayerfully discern is mine to do.
Renunciation (Elimination): As I awaken my power of Renunciation, I renounce the power I have given to the past to determine what is possible right now. I release all false beliefs, all limiting thoughts, feelings and actions, so that I open and allow my true nature to infill my awareness.
Life: I awaken my power of Life. Every cell in my being is charged with pure, restorative Divine Life. I am invigorated, enlivened and energized with the knowing and claiming of my divinity.
Joy: As I awaken my power of Joy, I see life through the lens of awe and wonder. I celebrate life and delight in the spiritual journey. I am grateful for the divine essence I Am.
