Pastoral Care
The Pastoral Care Ministry (PCM) was created to attend to the spiritual needs of our congregation. In addition, we also provide some concrete services as needed. Each member of our ministry has committed to an active prayer life of their choosing. By doing this, we continue to deepen our relationship with the divine, strengthen our relationships with each other, and elevate the prayer consciousness of Unity of Gaithersburg and the world. |
Prayer
In Unity we practice affirmative prayer which reminds us of our divine nature.
If you would like prayer, please fill out our Prayer Request Form.
PRAYER CHAPLAINS
Our trained Prayer Chaplains are available to pray with you after service.
If you are interested in becoming a Prayer Chaplain please contact Edie Crane at admin@unityofgaithersburg.org
PRAYER TEAM
The Prayer Team requires a primarily solitary participation. You are asked only to commit to daily prayer.
You will be given names of people and situations, usually from church members, to hold in confidentially prayer during your daily prayer time.
If this interests you, please contact our Prayer Team Leader, Neal Peacock, at prayer@unityofgaithersburg.org

Helping Hands
Helping Hands provides outreach to our church community to help members in need of assistance in the areas of running errands, helping with rides, meals, and light household chores. We focus on members who are overcoming medical challenges (we do not replace visiting nurses and other supplemental services the medical community provides). We also provide visits, and phone calls to those who are housebound and may be feeling isolated.
We often find that people are reluctant to reach out for help, so we encourage congregants to inform us when they know of someone in our church community who needs visits or other short term support.
If you would like to serve on this team, please send an email to: admin@unityofgaithersburg.org
