Office Admin Transition

Hi Everyone,
Many of you probably heard the big news about the admin transition, but just in case you didn’t, here it is:
I have gotten the happy news that my daughter and her husband are expecting her first child!
With this happy news comes the bittersweet news that it is now time for me to hand over the reins of the Office Manager to someone new, as I step down and take on an expanded Nana role.
Keeping in mind the wide variety of duties that I have taken on after Sheryl's retirement, Steve and I have come up with a "Transitional" Office Manager plan, to get us through to the time when a new minister arrives and decides how to staff the position.
The plan has two (or three) phases, the first of which is to hand over the extra duties I assumed in December. Steve suggested floating the idea to Keith, who has graciously agreed to take this on - as these duties are already in his wheelhouse.
Keith and I have come up with a preliminary plan that he would begin taking on these duties this week with communications activities. We will gradually begin handing more of the office manager duties to him over the course of a few months, effectively dialing me back and dialing him in.
Keith will now be using the communications@unityofgaithersburg.org email address and eventually the admin email as well.
The latest date that I would finish up the Office Manager position would be December 17. This could happen sooner, if things proceed smoothly and Keith feels ok about it.
I will still be available to help out when needed, since I'm just "going back to civilian life", and will be attending Sunday service, teaching the occasional Sunday lesson and working with the Women's Circle.
I have loved serving UOG as the Office Manager, and I look forward to working with Keith on this transition process.
Much love,
Edie
