Welcome to Kokoro Wellness Center. Kokoro is Japanese meaning the unified field of heart, mind, and spirit. It is Spirit as a unified, inseparable whole. Therefore, Kokoro Wellness Center is not a location in a building per se, while there are locations to receive holistic support and education, but Kokoro is the apex of your heart where all healing occurs through heart coherence.
When we tap into our Inner Spirit and Essence, we are in touch with the intangible, deepest part of ourselves that is Pure Life and Vitality. As a holistic practitioner, life coach, counselor, and a person who has been walking this path since 1979, I have had many healings, so I know it is possible. I continue on that journey after having my third cancer diagnosis in 2024. I have used conventional medicine in the past, but this time my body is teaching me how natural healing is. My soul has led me step by step, and two years later I remain cancer free.
I have a strong desire to support not only physical wellness, but emotional and mental wellness as well. In 2025, I began to dream of creating a wellness center here in Maryland. I moved back here that June, and I have been allowing KOKORO to take form, unfold, and open up in my life by applying Spiritual principles. And now in 2026 on my 77th birthday, I am launching Kokoro Wellness Center. Currently, I work with clients in Frederick, Gaithersburg, as well as online.

REIKI
-
Judith was trained in Reiki 1989, and is currently a certified Master in the Uusi Shiki Ryoho tradition. REIKI is a Japanese energy healing practice where a practitioner uses gentle hand placement to channel Universal Life Force Energy to promote relaxation, stress reduction and promote the body’s natural healing. Judi offers individuals ½ to 1-hour Reiki sessions; monthly Reiki shares; and attunements for Reiki I, II and Master levels.

SOUND HEALING

Sound healing builds resonance in the body. Through her work, Judith utilizes humming, chanting, and toning, as well as sound immersion through sound baths, meditations that immerse my clients in sound, and drumming, etc. While most clients have founds it supportive of releasing stored trauma, others have reported changes in in the reduction of physical pain.

INTEGRATIVE COUNSELING

Through empathetic listening and inquiry, Judith supports her client’s exploration of their feelings and emotions, helping them identify the origins of any trapped energy in their mind-body. To help release and restore balance and heart coherence, she utilizes various tools such as REIKI, sound, movement, art, writing, visualization, and meditation. As she works following the energetic flow, or “Mizu-no-kokoro” or “mind-like water” the client returns to a calm, balanced mind through heart coherence.

As a Life Coach, Judi utilizes the Hero’s Journey roadmap to assist my clients to harness the power of their emotions; tap into a state of clarity and peace; heal on a mental, emotional, and soul level; obtain immediate relief by using easy to apply tools; and to activate and create their own intentions, goals, and dreams. Judith has been certified by Academy of Coaching Excellence in Sacramento CA and the Cancer Journey Institute in San Francisco CA.
