Caring Cottage's Back-to-School Backpack
and Cereal Drive
The pandemic has made an impact on many,
especially our children.
In response, UOG's Caring Cottage is sponsoring a two-pronged drive to support children in our local community. Here are two ways you can help:
Montgomery County Public Schools Foundation is sponsoring a backpack drive. With the benefit of quantity discounts, the Foundation is able to provide a quality backpack with supplies for just $15 each. If each of us contributes $15 (or more) towards this worthy cause, we can assist in providing backpacks filled with school supplies for elementary and middle school children in our county.
If you would like to support this important cause, please click on this link: https://www.mcpsfoundation.org/give-backpacks-program-description
Manna Food Center is sponsoring a children's cereal drive. A Manna collection box will be located in the UOG lobby through September 30. If you would like to help ensure the students in our county start their school day with a nourishing breakfast, please bring box(es) of cereal to help us fill the box. Thanks for your generous support!
Rev Edith invites you to hike with her to provide an opportunity to learn more about the area as well as get to know the UOG community. We hope you can join us for one or more of these hikes.
Here is our current schedule with leader contacts for more detail and to rsvp:
