Teddy Bear Drive

Sometimes, what a child has seen or been exposed to cannot be spoken out loud except to their best friend, a Teddy Bear. Teddy Bears will be delivered to the Montgomery County Family Justice Center (MCFJC) on December 22nd, just in time for Christmas.

The MCFJC mission statement:

Our mission is to help end domestic violence and abuse of all ages.  We do this by raising awareness through education and providing resources and programs that assist victims of abuse. By working with community partners to harness our combined resources, we provide support to victims of domestic violence and their children; and promote healthy dating relationships among teenagers.  We are dedicated to ending violence and abuse of all ages and promoting healing after abuse.

Bring NEW Teddy Bears & put them along the wall to the right of the altar, under the flat screen. The last day to contribute is December 21. You may also have them shipped to:

Our next labyrinth walk will be on Sunday December 21, 2025 from 7 pm to 11 pm.

Our Labyrinth (set up in our Sanctuary) at Unity of Gaithersburg, like the labyrinth at the Grace Cathedral in San Francisco, California, is a classical eleven-circuit labyrinth. The most well-known example of this type of labyrinth can be found in the Chartres Cathedral in France. The labyrinth is available for seekers of all faiths to assist in their contemplation and meditation.

Christmas Giving Tree

giving tree graphic.jpg

The Christmas Giving Tree is one of our most important fundraising activities. The envelopes on the tree in the sanctuary list items that your giving supports. Some are of physical its and others are in gratitude and support.

An anonymous donor is offering Unity of Gaithersburg a matching gift opportunity.

For every $1 gift from the Giving Tree, the donor will match with an additional $2. For example, if you give $100, either from an envelope on the tree or using the online form, the church will receive a total of $300.  Donations will be matched on the first $10,000 received from the Giving Tree, giving the church a potential of receiving $30,000 and more!

The donor’s gift will go to the General Fund.

If you are at church on Sunday you can find envelopes that resonate with you, add a check or cash to the envelope and put it in the box next to the tree. You can also use the QR code on the back of the envelope to take you to the online giving form. You can also participate online by clicking on the buttons below.
